Trials and tribulations come to make you strong!!!

Let us not become weary in doing well, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 NIV

First let me encourage you to keep pressing and having faith that God will do what he promised in your life. Life has a way of knocking you down but we MUST stay steadfast holding on to our faith. Even in the midst of suffering Gods will is being done in your life. So for that single mother that doesn’t see a way to provide for your children…. KEEP PRESSING SISTER!!! Don’t lower your standards for a man to pay your bills and feed your kids. GOD WILL PROVIDE!! To the women who constantly feels attacked on the job… COUNT IT PURE JOY!!! Keep being a light in a dark place. People can’t understand your joy, love, and patience. No matter what they do you keep showing up and showing them the love of GOD… so they too may turn away from their wicked ways and know CHRIST.

It doesn’t matter what you face in life, stay joyful because the testing of your faith develops determination. When you have determination to keep pressing no matter what difficulties you face… the enemy will have a harder time distracting you and you will prove to God he can trust you not to quit on your portion he entrust you with.

When you’re faced with trials pray and ask God to deliver you out BUT not until you have learned whatever it is he is trying to prepare you for. A lot of times I used to cry and get so upset with God like “Why are you allowing this to happen to me?? Have I not been faithful… no not perfect but I’ve been faithful. Take this from me.. I don’t deserve this.” Who did I think I was???? I was totally out of order. Just think about it. Jesus, a man of no sin became sin for me and DIED for me. With such cruel and harsh treatment and I think I don’t deserve to go through anything and had the nerve to get mad at God when I did. I WAS SADLY MISTAKEN. That’s why I count it pure joy NOW whenever I go through. You see the years I went through the back biting, fake friends, depression, suicidal thoughts, and being in mentally/verbally/ and abusive relationships… I am now able to tell my story and help someone come out what I once was going through. We have to stop being so selfish thinking “oh, why me Lord?” and start asking him what is it that you want me to gain from this situation. SOMEONE… SOMEWHERE IS GOING TO NEED YOUR TESTIMONY AND HOPE TO GET THROUGH. Don’t miss the mark!!

The other MAJOR problem I had in the midst of my sufferings was keeping a tight leash on my tongue. Whether it was me hurting others because I was hurt or not speaking the word of my life. I HAD TO LEARN TO SPEAK LIFE OVER DEATH IN EVERY SITUATION. I was good for going off on people if I felt they were responsible for my pain. Every curse word known to man I’m sure has flowed out of mouth…. BUT one day I ran across this scripture.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. James 3:9-10 NIV WOW! Talk about feeling as though a ton of bricks just slapped you across the face. I quickly felt convicted and had to repent. You can’t say whatever you want.. cursing people out, gossiping, back biting, and putting others down Monday-Saturday and come Sunday morning lift your hands talking about “I surrender all” NO! Get on your face before God, repent, and surrender that tongue and whatever else to him. We can’t expect God to speak to us and through us if we can’t be a willing vessel for him to use.

So today, look over your life! If you see you’ve been going through… ask God to reveal to you what it is he’s trying to develop in you. He wants to talk to you! First you have to get out of your own pity party and selfish ways and look forward to coming out so you can help someone who is still going through. IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT US!!! We have a work in us that needs to be fulfilled. ONE BODY… MANY PARTS. ****DON’T ABUSE YOUR PORTION****

Scriptures to meditate on:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. James: 1:2-3 NIV

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 NIV

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 NIV

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10 NIV

Being free from the enemies mind games..

The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I have come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NIV

I remember a time that I used to condemn myself quite often. I battled with the lies the enemy told me in my mind for a very long time. I wasn’t pretty enough, smart enough, outgoing enough… oh the list goes on. After years of suffering in silence I had to finally break free from the devils lies about me. You see the enemy wants you beaten down, broken, and depressed. Once he attack your mind you give him free will to make you think and feel however he wants you to. Which is always the total opposite of what God thinks of you. The devil is jealous of you… ha! more than anything he HATES you because of the peace, joy, and overflowing love you get from our father in heaven. He wants to distract you, lower your confidence spiritually and make you feel like because of your past and current mistakes there’s no way God can love you so much. IT’S ALL LIES!!!!! If your way of thinking isn’t lining up with what God thinks and say about you and you feel like you’re suffering alone… try meditating on this scripture.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1 Peter 5:8-9 NIV

Don’t let your failures be an opportunity for the devil to attack. He wants to make you feel like you’re not enough. Just because your best wasn’t good enough for that friendship, relationship, or that job doesn’t mean that you aren’t enough. You see The devil will play with your mind and have you thinking… “Oh I wasn’t qualified enough for that job, I wasn’t pretty enough for that man, and I wasn’t loyal enough for my friends to stay”. You know what ladies some things and people God will remove out of your life or won’t let you have for a reason. FOR YOUR GOOD!!! Don’t let that be a crack the devil can squeeze in and make you think otherwise.

Study Gods word constantly renewing your mind… Learn how to deal with his lies head on with the word of God. Try to deal with any unwelcome emotions and thoughts that don’t line up with Gods word. You have the power to make any emotion, thought, and feeling come subject to the word of God. All you have to do is realize it’s a lie from the enemy and cast it down.

Try to never think that your own condemning thoughts about yourself are from God. The Holy Spirits convicts you. Holy Spirit conviction leads to repentance and dependence on God.

When you don’t feel good enough you’ll look to men, friends, jobs, sex, and even food to fill a void that only God can fill. Try not to fall into the hands of temptation because once you do you’ll feel guilty about whatever it is you do during that time. Falling into temptation ans sinning is just another way the devil can cause you to feel bad about yourself and think “God can’t you me because I did this or said that.” Romans 3:23 says that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So don’t get depressed and sink into further sin… rise up, repent, believe that you’re forgiven, forgive yourself, and get back to living a life that is pleasing to God. Never say that God is tempting you.. sometimes our evil desires can drag us away from what we know is right and we are then enticed to what the enemy has to offer.  James 1:13  says that When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God can not be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

Remember these things… You won’t be good at everything and that’s ok. Don’t focus on everything you’re not but focus on everything you are… THROUGH CHRIST JESUS!We all are apart of ONE body with many parts…  Always be thankful for your portion he has given YOU.

Scriptures to meditate on

Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NIV

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

So fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen  temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.2 Corinthians 4:18

My flesh and my heart may fail,, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26 NIV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his  purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

For God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self control.2 Timothy 2:7
