Let us not become weary in doing well, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 NIV
First let me encourage you to keep pressing and having faith that God will do what he promised in your life. Life has a way of knocking you down but we MUST stay steadfast holding on to our faith. Even in the midst of suffering Gods will is being done in your life. So for that single mother that doesn’t see a way to provide for your children…. KEEP PRESSING SISTER!!! Don’t lower your standards for a man to pay your bills and feed your kids. GOD WILL PROVIDE!! To the women who constantly feels attacked on the job… COUNT IT PURE JOY!!! Keep being a light in a dark place. People can’t understand your joy, love, and patience. No matter what they do you keep showing up and showing them the love of GOD… so they too may turn away from their wicked ways and know CHRIST.
It doesn’t matter what you face in life, stay joyful because the testing of your faith develops determination. When you have determination to keep pressing no matter what difficulties you face… the enemy will have a harder time distracting you and you will prove to God he can trust you not to quit on your portion he entrust you with.
When you’re faced with trials pray and ask God to deliver you out BUT not until you have learned whatever it is he is trying to prepare you for. A lot of times I used to cry and get so upset with God like “Why are you allowing this to happen to me?? Have I not been faithful… no not perfect but I’ve been faithful. Take this from me.. I don’t deserve this.” Who did I think I was???? I was totally out of order. Just think about it. Jesus, a man of no sin became sin for me and DIED for me. With such cruel and harsh treatment and I think I don’t deserve to go through anything and had the nerve to get mad at God when I did. I WAS SADLY MISTAKEN. That’s why I count it pure joy NOW whenever I go through. You see the years I went through the back biting, fake friends, depression, suicidal thoughts, and being in mentally/verbally/ and abusive relationships… I am now able to tell my story and help someone come out what I once was going through. We have to stop being so selfish thinking “oh, why me Lord?” and start asking him what is it that you want me to gain from this situation. SOMEONE… SOMEWHERE IS GOING TO NEED YOUR TESTIMONY AND HOPE TO GET THROUGH. Don’t miss the mark!!
The other MAJOR problem I had in the midst of my sufferings was keeping a tight leash on my tongue. Whether it was me hurting others because I was hurt or not speaking the word of my life. I HAD TO LEARN TO SPEAK LIFE OVER DEATH IN EVERY SITUATION. I was good for going off on people if I felt they were responsible for my pain. Every curse word known to man I’m sure has flowed out of mouth…. BUT one day I ran across this scripture.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. James 3:9-10 NIV WOW! Talk about feeling as though a ton of bricks just slapped you across the face. I quickly felt convicted and had to repent. You can’t say whatever you want.. cursing people out, gossiping, back biting, and putting others down Monday-Saturday and come Sunday morning lift your hands talking about “I surrender all” NO! Get on your face before God, repent, and surrender that tongue and whatever else to him. We can’t expect God to speak to us and through us if we can’t be a willing vessel for him to use.
So today, look over your life! If you see you’ve been going through… ask God to reveal to you what it is he’s trying to develop in you. He wants to talk to you! First you have to get out of your own pity party and selfish ways and look forward to coming out so you can help someone who is still going through. IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT US!!! We have a work in us that needs to be fulfilled. ONE BODY… MANY PARTS. ****DON’T ABUSE YOUR PORTION****
