When life knocks you down

Life can become so hectic that you’ll begin to let the pressures of life get you down. Don’t become so blinded by the smoke mirrors. Satan wants to cloud your vision for you to lose sight on the promises of God. Hold tight to the word of God and meditate on it day and night. There’s no way to fight off the lies of the enemy if you don’t know the truth of Gods words. The devil is a liar, as a matter of fact, the bible says that he is the father of lies (John 8:44). So anytime you hear a voice telling you that you are something that doesn’t line up with what God says. Cast it down and take those thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). It’s vital that you spend time in your word. How else do you expect to fight back?!? IT’S YOUR WEAPON! Gods word is alive and active….Sharper than a two edge sword! Fight back with the right weapons.

So if you have more bills than money, your health has taken an unexpected turn, your heart has just been broken, just lost your job, a loved one passed away, or maybe you’re just struggling to trust God… know that God is the same God that delivered you and brought you out before.  I’ve learned a great deal of learning to be content in whatever season God has placed me in. I encourage you to read Philippians 4:11-13 where it instructs you to be content in ALL things. Whether I’m broke or paid, hungry or well fed, friends all around me or alone, or whatever else I’m content. Why?!? Because I’ve learned to place my hope in Jesus and not in this world. I’ve learned that no matter what I’m facing, by FAITH the victory is mine.

So, if God be for you there is no one that can be against you… and what God bless no man can curse. So when life knocks you down praise God anyhow, because you are certain in your faith that He has not left you and will see you through. Don’t worry about your life because our life is but a vapor… We are here for a while and the next we aren’t (James 4:14). So cast your cares and lay them at the feet of Jesus and LEAVE THEM THERE!!

I pray that God will give you a peace that surpasses all understand. I pray when the cares of life knock you down that you remain steadfast and persevere and not rush through the process… but ask God what it is that he wants you to learn. His plans for your life is perfect and he’ll never allow you to go through anything if he wasn’t going to let you have Victory in it. Keep pressing!

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

Cast all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you. Peter 5:7

 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm  46:1

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:11-13
